    Medical Oncologist

    Key Responsibilities

    Patient Diagnosis and Care: Examining pets, managing a wide range of oncologic conditions, and guiding clients through every step of diagnosis and treatment.

    Treatment Planning: Developing individualized cancer treatment plans, which may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.

    Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working alongside board-certified veterinary surgeons, internists, and radiologists for comprehensive care.

    Diagnostic Procedures: Utilizing advanced tools such as CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, and in-house pathology for cancer staging.

    Client Communication: Offering guidance and support to pet owners, helping them make informed decisions regarding prognosis and treatment options.

    Service Leadership: Contributing to the growth of the oncology service, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative, "team-first" culture (C-PETS philosophy).

    Qualifications: Board-Certified (DACVIM – Oncology) or Residency-Trained.

    Ideally seeking specialists with advanced training. Expertise in Canine/Feline Cancer: Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating common to complex tumors.

    Compassionate Care: Ability to provide high-quality care with empathy.
