About the Role:

Birch Island Vet is seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to be the first friendly face our clients and patients see. This role is vital to keeping our front office running smoothly and ensuring every pet parent feels welcome and cared for from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Greet clients and their pets warmly—both in person and on the phone

• Schedule appointments and manage daily calendars

• Check patients in and out, process payments, and update records

• Communicate clearly with the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow

• Answer client questions about services, medications, and general care

• Help maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming front office space

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in a client-facing or receptionist role (vet clinic preferred)

• Calm, friendly demeanor and a love for helping people and animals

• Strong multitasking and organizational skills

• Comfortable with computers, phones, and practice management software

• A team player who's reliable, punctual, and ready to grow with us

Bonus Points:

• Veterinary or animal care experience

• Familiarity with scheduling, invoicing, and medical record systems
