Veterinary Technician Assistant

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our privately owned small animal veterinary practices in Queenstown, MD and Annapolis, MD. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working with animals and providing excellent patient care.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn and take direction from veterinarians and veterinary technicians
- Professional, positive attitude with excellent client and patient service skills
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with appointments and procedures
- Safely restrain and handle patients
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Assist with patient intake and discharge
- Obtain and record patient weights and basic history information
- Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, and equipment
- Assist with laboratory samples and basic in-house diagnostics
- Provide general patient care, including monitoring hospitalized patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners
