    Job Summary

    We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian Technician/Assistant to join the team at our successful clinic. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. .     Responsibilities

    Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic

    Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history

    Take vital signs, assisting with vaccinations, laboratory testing, diagnostic procedures, and sample collection

    Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures

    Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery

    Assisting with surgical and dental procedures, including pre- and post-operative care

    Providing compassionate patient care and nursing support

    Educating clients about medications, treatments, preventive care, and home care instructions

    Preparing medications and assisting with pharmacy and inventory management

    Preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial options and treatment estimates to clients

    Maintaining accurate medical records and following hospital protocols

    Helping maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming hospital environment

    Accurately entering services and charges into the hospital's practice management system

    Assisting with appointments and client communication

    Working collaboratively with every member of the hospital team to ensure excellent patient and client care

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role

    Knowledge of animal care and handlingt

    Patience and a love for animals

    Treats every patient with the same compassion and attention they would give their own pet

    Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Is professional, positive, dependable, and team-oriented

    Is comfortable interacting with clients and discussing patient care

    Is detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    Takes initiative and is willing to help wherever needed

    Is eager to learn new skills and continue developing professionally

    Understands that exceptional patient care and exceptional client service go hand in hand
