We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our general practice team, with the opportunity to also support our urgent care services if desired. This role is primarily focused on general practice, including patient care, client education, surgical assistance, and supporting routine and preventative medicine. For those interested in expanding their skillset, there is also the option to gain experience in our urgent care setting, working alongside our team during more fast-paced and critical cases. Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality patient care, including proper restraint, nursing care, and monitoring during exams and treatments • Assist veterinarians with routine appointments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery • Perform technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and radiography • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed, while ensuring accurate documentation in medical records • Educate clients on preventative care, treatment plans, medications, and post-visit instructions with clear and compassionate communication • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards • Support urgent care services, assisting with triage, emergency procedures, and critical patient care Qualifications: • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician (general practice and/or emergency experience preferred) • Proficiency in technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and radiography • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient care standards • Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and support clients with compassion and professionalism • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow • Flexibility to support both general practice and, if interested, urgent care shifts • Current or pending veterinary technician certification/license preferred (but not required, depending on experience) Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly
