    Job description:

    We are a family oriented, small animal practice in Southeastern, MA looking to expand our animal healthcare team with the addition of an Experienced Veterinary Technician.

    East Bridgewater Veterinary focuses on tailored veterinary care and client communication as we work as a team to deliver top quality care to our clients. An EBVH team member is someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and is able to multi-task efficiently. Good communication skills and compassion is a must as our team members are responsible for client communication and work independently while contributing to larger team goals. Experience in a veterinary hospital as well as certification is preferred.

    Position: Full time Veterinary Technician

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 5:30pm

    Ideal candidate would be flexible to work any of our regular business hours, be self- motivated, reliable, team oriented, friendly, and have the ability to multi-task and effectively communicate with clients and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Triage and obtain patient history

    Small animal restraint (dogs and cats)

    Venipuncture

    Placing intravenous catheters

    Perform radiographs with digital radiography

    Patient care including diagnostic procedures and administration of treatments (limited in hospital patient care - mostly out patient and day case patient care)

    Surgical preparation

    Anesthesia monitoring

    Prepare surgical equipment for sterilization

    Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients

    Ability to uphold proper safety protocols

    Familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques

    Familiar with laboratory procedures and practices in order to perform in house laboratory testing (including but not limited to: CBC, Chemistry, urinalysis, fecal and heartworm testing) and prepare reference laboratory submissions

    Familiar with veterinary equipment, instruments and medications

    Able to lift 40lbs without assistance

    Able to communicate effectively with clients for client education, scheduling appointments, and invoicing

    Able to assist with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment

    Salary: Compensation commensurate with experience including benefits.
