Job Summary

We are a growing, small animal, 4 doctor independently owned practice. If you are an outgoing skilled technician looking for full or part-time opportunities, this is the place for you.
Primary duties include assisting veterinarians in the day-to-day duties of animal healthcare such as surgical assisting, client education, laboratory, blood drawing, IV catheter placement, radiography, taking patient histories, filling medications. Strong surgical/anesthesia skills are highly valued.
We strongly believe in Fear Free medicine. Bonding with our clients and their pets is the cornerstone of our practice so great people and communication skills are a must.
Credentialing not required but previous experience is a must.
Must be able to work some nights & weekends.
Responsibilities
Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic
Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
Take vital signs and acquire blood samples
Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery
Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
Keep accurate patient records
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
Knowledge of Fear Free animal care and handling
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
Patience and a love for animals
