About the Role:

South Bellingham Veterinary Hospital is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Bellingham, MA! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and the families who love them, in a supportive and caring clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures

Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue specimens

Monitor and care for patients during anesthesia and post-operative recovery

Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols

Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions

Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation

Ensure exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment are clean and properly sterilized

Requirements:

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred

Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring

Strong knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and patient safety

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

Genuine love for animals and commitment to high-quality veterinary care
