About the Role:

Hudspeth Animal Hospital in Macon, GA is looking for a friendly and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every pet and their owner feels right at home from the moment they walk through our doors.

Responsibilities:

Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a positive and calming front desk experience

Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system

Accurately enter and maintain client and patient records in practice management software

Process payments, invoices, and handle cash and credit transactions

Communicate effectively between clients and veterinary staff regarding appointments, treatments, and follow-up care

Manage prescription refill requests and coordinate with the veterinary team

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Requirements:

Prior experience required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine love for animals

Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced clinical environment

Proficiency with computers and ability to learn veterinary practice management software

Basic understanding of veterinary terminology is a plus

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Ability to handle emotional or stressful client situations with empathy and professionalism
