We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your knowledge of animal care and veterinary terminology will be essential in assisting clients and supporting our veterinary staff.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
Assist with the intake of animals, including gathering medical history and relevant information.
Provide clients with information about animal care, treatments, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and aseptic techniques is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff.
Ability to handle animals safely and comfortably; experience with animal restraint is beneficial.
Proficient in using office software and managing electronic medical records systems.
