Our existing team is made up of people with degrees in Library Science, Linguistics, Business Administration, and Data Science but the main requirement is that you are a person who is passionate about collaborating and creating intuitive user experiences and can clearly and adroitly communicate taxonomy decisions within a global team.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    As a Classification & Taxonomy specialist, you will assist our team as we create, manage, and ensure the quality of our Fortune 500 client's selling and buying taxonomy. You will work to improve the quality and quantity of our structured data, to support a world class buying and selling experience for our members.

    You will become a subject matter expert in your area of taxonomy design via multiple means including but not limited to, competitor analysis, community outreach and general research.

    You will identify, develop and implement routines for ongoing data quality assurance. You may define and write specs for improved data management tools. You may QA new tools or new features to existing tools.

    You will also use existing processes, or define new ones, to efficiently create and maintain categories and item specifics on our client's proprietary Classification platform.

    You will work closely with the Analytics, Product, and Development teams to define new products and help make them happen, quickly and creatively, by constructing, organizing and implementing data, on your own or through the use of remote teams, or as a lead of an internal team.

    You will actively troubleshoot and respond to user experience issues that are caused by data or software or a combination of both and work to resolve them quickly independently or with others.
