Content Curator II - Analyze, Label short-form video with some Content Strategy - Full time includes weekends Thurs-Monday

Vettanna is seeking an individual with 2-4 years experience in social media, journalism, policy strategy/creation, and/or content curation. The initial project is 5 months and may be extended up to a maximum of 2 years. This is a 100% remote project for our Fortune 100 client. You must be within 70 miles of one of the hub office locations listed below. Weekend work is required as part of this fulltime position. Normal work week will be Thursday through Monday with Tuesday and Wednesday being off days.
The main function of a content curator is to aid in surfacing the best content and conversations on a platform. The typical curator will have excellent editorial judgment, a strong command of social media and a demonstrated understanding of trending news and topics, and how they inform social conversations.
Job Responsibilities:
● Spearhead curation coverage on the weekend in addition to 3 days during the week
● Review, analyze, and label a high volume of content across various sets of criteria
● Curate best-in-class content, including credible news, entertainment and short-form video (SFV) from a diverse set of publishers, broadcasters, public figures, creators and influencers
● Identify cultural trends across a broad spectrum of topics
● Develop strategy and create editorial plans for events and cultural moments
● Collaborate with our content and product teams to improve user experience
● Have the ability to work an extended schedule as news and cultural events require, including Saturday and Sundays. This is a weekend role.
Requirements:
● Experience in social media, editorial, content creation, journalism or digital media
● Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and SFV content
● High attention to detail, particularly in assessing a variety of content types
● Excellent skill in editorial strategy and what makes digital content great
● Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Education/Experience:
● Bachelor's degree required.
40 hours/week, Thursday-Monday. This role's weekends are Tuesday-Wednesday.
