    Vic.ai is an NYC-based artificial intelligence company developing a platform that automates and augments the human component in the Accounting & Finance departments. The accounting industry is on the verge of AI disruption, and Vic.ai is one of the driving forces behind it.

    We help mid-market companies like Intercom and Nurx, and 4 of the top 10 accounting firms, including KPMG, PWC, and BDO, use Vic.ai.

    The Vic.ai platform will automate the accounting tasks associated with AP, Bank, Expenses, and AR then start to provide actionable insights, advice and benchmarking - ultimately reaching our visionary goal of creating an Artificially Intelligent CFO.

    We recently completed our $11.2m Series A fundraising, where GGV Capital led the round with participation from new investors Costanoa and seed round lead investor Cowboy Ventures. Other notable investors are John Shaw, Jesse Lucas (Ubers finance team / #15th employee), Jason Stockwood (Group CEO of Simply Business), and Shan-lyn Ma (CEO of Zola).

    The Role

    We are seeking a Sales Development Representative that can connect with inbound leads, reach out to targeted leads, qualify leads, and convert leads into booked meetings for Sales Executives.

    You will be a vital part of the inbound marketing and sales development team that manages the company's account based marketing, thought leadership, lead generation, lead nurturing, social monitoring, social selling, webinars, offline events, self-booked meetings, and internal sales notifications.

    You'll work out of our South Florida office. Some occasional travel throughout the United States may be required. However, most sales development will either be by phone, email, chat, video conference, or social selling.

    You should have an entrepreneurial mindset, be bright, always learning, be a great team player, and have a strong sense of urgency and empathy for partners/clients. 

    As an extension of the marketing team that helps to accelerate leads, you will collaborate closely with other team members in marketing, sales development, sales, and product management while reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer.

    Responsibilities

    • Call inbound leads generated from new conversions, reconversions, revisits, webinar/event registrations, and webinar/event attendance
    • Call targeted leads prioritized by a trigger event from social monitoring
    • Build rapport with leads and offer to help
    • Determine where leads are in the buyer's journey and if you can help
    • Book meetings with leads and sales executives
    • Call existing leads to promote upcoming webinars and offline events
    • Generate registrations for upcoming webinars and offline events
    • Schedule, monitor, and optimize email sequences
    • Attend webinars and offline events to identify sales-ready leads
    • Connect with leads on LinkedIn and follow their LinkedIn company pages
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales development and sales executive team members to continually improve the performance of sales enablement tools including templates, sequences, documents, and meetings
    • Supervise and coordinate with relevant external sales vendors including list builders
    • Identify gaps in content assets and report to marketing team
    • Test, document, and optimize new and existing processes
    • Assist with monthly reporting
    • Participate in monthly sales/marketing alignment workshops and quarterly product roadmap workshops
    • Cultivate a professional social media presence

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in sales, sales development, or business development (B2B technology) in an entrepreneurial, startup environment
    • Knowledge of the HubSpot Sales Hub platforms
    • Excellent grasp of best practices around the modern buyer's journey, inbound sales, sales enablement, social media marketing, social selling, and inbound marketing
    • Any experience generating meetings for B2B SaaS -- especially accounting software or ERP software -- is a big plus
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Basic working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping (“101” course level)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present in front of small groups in-person and by video conferencing
    • Excited to collaborate closely with marketing, sales development, sales, and product team members in a startup environment
