    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    The Vice President of Data Products will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and execution of data products that deliver powerful analytics capabilities across our media platforms. This role involves developing products that enable real-time and actionable insights, empowering internal teams with data-driven decision-making tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of analytics-driven data products, media consumption behaviors, and a deep background in product management and leadership within the media industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive strategy for data products that support advanced analytics, audience insights, content performance measurement, and monetization optimization.
    • Collaborate with leadership to ensure data products align with the company’s broader business objectives
    • Develop data products that deliver powerful insights into product and content performance, audience behaviors, engagement metrics, and viewing trends across digital and linear
    • Create real-time dashboards, reporting tools, and predictive analytics models to empower teams to optimize content programming and user experience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., tech, product, marketing) to integrate analytics products into their workflows, ensuring that insights are actionable and drive key decisions.
    • Ensure seamless integration of data products with internal platforms, enabling easy access to analytics and metrics for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of analytics data products, including ideation, design, development, testing, and iteration.
    • Ensure that data products provide the necessary functionality for complex analytics use cases, such as audience segmentation, viewer behavior analysis, content recommendations, and financial modeling.
    • Work with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to ensure that data products comply with relevant data regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, while maintaining high standards for data accuracy and quality.
    • Promote best practices in data governance, ensuring that data products are built on a solid foundation of trusted, clean, and compliant data.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage new data technologies (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing) to enhance the capabilities of data products.
    • Serve as the key liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring that data products deliver value and solve real-world business challenges.
    • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of data product managers, data analysts, focused on developing and improving analytics products.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data product team.

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in data-driven product management, business intelligence, or analytics roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions focused on data products in the media or entertainment industry.
    • Proven experience in creating and scaling analytics products that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across media businesses.

    Desired Characteristics

    • Experience in media analytics (e.g., content performance, audience behavior, advertising measurement) and working with large-scale media platforms.
    • Strong background in analytics tools and technologies, including data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Looker, DOMO), advanced analytics (e.g., Python, R), and business intelligence platforms.
    • Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies for personalized content recommendations and audience segmentation.
    • Experience with modern data infrastructure and platforms, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
    • In-depth understanding of media consumption patterns and audience measurement (e.g., SVOD, AVOD, Linear.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams and driving collaboration across technical and business functions.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytics insights to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and align them around a shared vision for data products.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Media Studies, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.

    Additional Requirements:

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
