    SUMMARY

    As the Vice President of Finance, you will play a critical role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes of the organization. Reporting directly to the Kinepolis Group CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing various finance functions for MJR Theatres and Emagine Entertainment (Michigan, US), both subsidiaries of Kinepolis Group. Responsibilities include annual budgeting, KPI reporting, accounting, and providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and stakeholders to drive financial performance and contribute to the overall success of the company.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Annual Budgeting:

    Lead the annual profit plan (budgeting) process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.

    Analyze historical financial data, market trends, and business forecasts to support the development of budgets and financial targets.

    Provide guidance and recommendations to department heads on resource allocation, cost control, and revenue optimization.

    KPI Reporting:

    Establish key performance indicators (KPls) for various business units and functions in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

    Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to track and analyze financial performance against KPls.

    Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and actionable insights.

    Accounting Function Leadership:

    Provide strategic direction and oversight to the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.

    Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and the accuracy of financial data.

    Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and maintain strong internal controls.

    Collaborate with internal and external tax advisors to facilitate annual corporate tax returns and other tax planning and compliance.

    Financial Analysis and Planning:

    Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning, to support strategic decision-making.

    Evaluate investment opportunities, acquisitions, and new business ventures, providing financial assessments and recommendations.

    Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts, considering market dynamics, industry trends, and organizational objectives.

    Business Controller Leadership:

    Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the business controller team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business controller function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and controls.

    Collaborate with the business controllers to identify areas for process improvement, enhance financial systems, and drive operational efficiencies.

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and marketing, to align financial objectives with overall business strategies.

    Engage with external stakeholders, such as auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and maintain strong relationships.

    Present financial insights and recommendations to the executive team, board of directors, and investors, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making.

    Collaborate with Kinepolis Group on global finance and accounting projects.

    Execute all global finance objectives and processes as directed by the Kinepolis CFO and finance department at the International CSC level.

    EXPERIENCE COMPETENCIES

    Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.

    Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with a focus on financial planning and analysis.

    Strong understanding of budgeting processes, financial modeling, and performance measurement.

    Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

    Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

    Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

    Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
