    Position Overview

    The Vice President of Revenue Cycle will support a $1.1B health system in the Midwest and will be responsible for strategic and operational revenue cycle initiatives, achieving and maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle process across organizational facilities. Critical responsibilities include the achievement of annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of revenue cycle performance and for the organization’s overall financial performance.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or Master’s degree in hospital or business administration, accounting or related field.

    • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in a similar position within the healthcare receivables field.

    • Demonstrated experience in utilization of patient accounting systems, preferably Epic.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, organization, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management skills.

    • Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, and Accounts Receivable processes.

    • Self-directed, thorough, and clearly identifiable as a leader.

    • Knowledge of healthcare industry financial indicators.

    • Knowledge of current healthcare trends, regulations, and policies.

    • Analytical skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.

    • Resource management skills, including the ability to effectively manage time, finances, materials/facilities, and personnel.

    • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    • Expertise in Microsoft Office products.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with management and staff.

    • Ability to establish productive working relationships.

    • Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail.

    • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with medical, operational and financial departments.

    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other private payer billing regulations.

    • Knowledge of government regulatory agencies.

    • Ability to work independently within management guidelines.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality based on access to proprietary financial, operational and competitive information.

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

    • Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
