    Position Summary:

    The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for identifying, managing, and maximizing the impact of our insurance restoration partnerships to increase leads and sales opportunities for the Network. These efforts include mitigation, commercial, and other institutional business channels.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    Responsible for developing business relationships and programs with the following entities in one of four geographic areas.

    Tier one carriers who are defined as the Top 10 U.S. carriers

    Tier two carriers who are defined as carriers not in the Top 10 U.S. carriers, but who are in the top 20 major accounts for the company

    Assigned Top U.S. National Brokers

    Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy

    Responsible for account management, which includes dispute resolution, problem avoidance, and compliance with service level agreements

    Able to produce formal sales proposals outlining the benefits of doing business with Paul Davis.

    Responsible for sales and revenue generation for assigned accounts.

    Key point of contact and account management support for assigned accounts.

    Manage complex contract negotiations and work with legal counsel as required

    Be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture, and values of the local sales and business development Teams. Through personal example, establish the style and approach which will characterize the Company’s dealings with the marketplace.

    Collaborates with franchise owners, districts, and franchise leadership on BD initiatives.

    Effective presentation at district meetings and PD conference.

    Creates and presents customized sales presentations to key insurance and non-insurance customers across all business channels.

    Responsible for overall sales growth with assigned accounts.

    Provides sales and marketing training to new owners, associates, and local marketing staff during training schools, district meetings, and field training opportunities.

    Experience in the insurance, property management and/or restoration fields

    Existing contacts within one or more of our core target areas

    Specialized knowledge or certifications within the property and casualty industry and/or fields of mitigation, restoration, or construction

    Other duties as assigned

    Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Able to develop an understanding of Paul Davis systems

    Obtains necessary industry trade certifications

    Able to communicate effectively with drawings and charts

    Experience in the insurance, property management and/or restoration fields

    Existing contacts within one or more of our core target areas

    Specialized knowledge or certifications within the property and casualty industry and/or fields of mitigation, restoration, or construction

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe)

    Ability to analyze, diffuse, and solve problem situations

    Knowledge of cost analysis techniques

    Ability to make decisions on own and evaluate judgments

    Customer service skills and presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting live to all audiences

    Excellent sales and communication skills (oral, verbal and written)

    Priority Management

    High level of organizational skills

    Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: Luxor, ADP, SharePoint, and OneDrive

    Ability to create, write, proofread, and review documents

    Ability to answer and communicate with customers, staff, and executives over the phone, in person, and in written form

    Ability to work independently

    Maintain a high level of confidentiality

    Ability to plan and coordinate meetings

    Required Education and Experience:

    College degree or equivalent

    Restoration industry sales experience or equivalent

    Three-plus years’ experience at a senior level (AVP, VP, Officer Role or other equivalent role)

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    Restoration and/or industry experience a plus

    Sales training preferred

    IICRC certifications or equivalent insurance industry training

    Physical Requirement: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 100% of the time

    The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer.

    Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents

    Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone

    Occasionally will lift up to 10lbs

    Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle

    Work Environment:

    The employee will be working in a corporate office environment. Most work will be conducted over email, video conferencing, and telephone. The successful person must be productive with minimal supervision. Employees must have access to a stable internet connection when working out of office. Employees must use provided VPN technology to securely connect remotely.

    Travel:

    This position may require up to 50% travel. This position may require travel for company meetings/events and trainings.
