Position Overview
Encore Mechanical is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Construction to lead operations, strengthen key client relationships, and drive strategic growth across the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This executive leader will play a critical role in shaping the company’s future, ensuring operational excellence, and positioning Encore for continued expansion.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in mechanical construction leadership, strong relationships within the DFW construction community, and proven success managing both project execution and business performance at a high level.
This position reports directly to the President.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand Encore Mechanical’s market share across North Texas
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, and key industry stakeholders
- Represent Encore at industry events, association meetings, and high-level client engagements
Operational Oversight
- Provide leadership across project management and field operations to ensure excellence in safety, quality, scheduling, and profitability
- Review project portfolios, including scope, budgets, manpower, and timelines
- Drive operational consistency, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Financial & Business Performance
- Oversee forecasting, job cost performance, and resource allocation across all projects
- Support contract negotiations, including major vendor and subcontractor agreements
- Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and long-term growth strategy
Team Development & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across project management and field operations
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and leadership development
- Recruit and retain top talent to support sustained company growth
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in mechanical construction
- Strong reputation and established relationships within the Dallas–Fort Worth construction market
- Proven success delivering complex mechanical projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing systems)
- Experience with VRF systems highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and deliver results at a strategic level
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
