We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our executive leadership team and help drive the next chapter of growth.
Position Overview
The VP of Finance is a strategic partner to the CEO, providing hands-on leadership across all financial functions. This role will shape Spring Footwear’s financial strategy, strengthen systems and controls, and support sustainable growth. The VP oversees Accounting, Credit/Collections, HR, Risk Management, and IT, ensuring the company has the financial discipline to fuel innovation and expansion.
This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys balancing strategy with operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute long-term financial plans to support company growth.
- Build financial models to support retail expansion, digital initiatives, and supply chain optimization.
- Identify opportunities for margin enhancement, cost efficiency, and operational improvement.
Financial Operations & Governance
- Oversee accounting, AR/AP, credit, collections, payroll, treasury, and tax functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Channel Profitability (B2B & B2C)
- Partner with Retail, eCommerce, and Marketplace teams to optimize pricing, shipping, inventory, and returns.
- Develop frameworks to measure and improve channel profitability.
Systems, Technology & Digital Transformation
- Lead ERP, BI, and finance systems selection, integration, and optimization.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement across finance and accounting functions.
Legal, Risk & Compliance
- Serve as primary liaison to legal counsel on contracts, leases, trademarks, and corporate matters.
- Oversee risk management programs, insurance, and corporate compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing Finance, HR, and IT teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Qualifications
- CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience; retail, footwear, or multi-channel experience a plus
- Proven success leading ERP or finance system transformations
- Strong expertise in GAAP, financial modeling, and multi-entity operations
- Experience managing Finance, HR, Legal, and IT functions a plus
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Hands-on, collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
