    Position Summary– MetroLagoons is seeking a strategic, results-driven, and hands-on Vice President of Food & Beverage (VP of F&B) to lead all F&B operations across our expanding portfolio, including four lagoon properties and the Angeline Café. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and working collaboratively with the Vice President of Operations, the VP of F&B is responsible for driving performance, innovation, guest satisfaction, compliance, and profitability across all food and beverage operations.

    This role requires a visionary leader who thrives in a high-volume, multi-unit resort-style environment and can balance strategic oversight with tactical execution. The VP of F&B will be responsible for regular lagoon site visits to support on-the-ground leadership, uphold brand standards, and ensure operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

    • Partner with the Vice President of Operations to ensure seamless alignment of F&B with property-wide operational standards and guest experience goals.
    • Provide shared leadership to two Regional Directors of Operations and collaborate with GMs, Assistant GMs, F&B Managers, and Bar Managers at each lagoon.

    Financial & Operational Management

    • Develop and manage annual budgets for F&B, including revenue forecasting, cost of goods (COGs), labor planning, and operational expenses (OPEX).
    • Lead capital planning and expansion efforts for new or enhanced F&B venues and infrastructure.
    • Maintain full P&L accountability and drive initiatives to improve margin performance and operational efficiency.

    Vendor & Partnership Oversight

    • Manage and grow third-party food truck partnerships, ensuring alignment with guest experience and brand standards.
    • Lead all vendor and supplier contract negotiations, including purchasing, food and beverage products, service agreements, and maintenance contracts, to ensure best pricing and reliability.
    • Pursue and structure sponsorship opportunities and institutional revenue streams in collaboration with vendors and partners.

    Menu Innovation & Brand Standards

    • Oversee menu development, pricing strategies, and seasonal or promotional offerings.
    • Ensure offerings reflect MetroLagoons’ brand experience and resonate with guest preferences.

    Training, SOPs, Compliance, and Culture

    • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and training programs to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards.
    • Cultivate a guest-first culture through coaching, leadership, and accountability.

    Guest Relations & Issue Resolution

    • Lead resolution of escalated guest concerns related to F&B with professionalism and urgency.
    • Implement systems to measure guest satisfaction and continuously improve service delivery.

    Site Leadership & Visibility

    • Conduct regular site visits across all lagoon properties to provide operational oversight, support leadership teams, and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, multi-unit food and beverage operations (resort, theme park, cruise, or similar environments preferred).
    • Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L management.
    • Strong background in vendor contract negotiation, including purchasing, service/maintenance contracts, pricing strategy, and revenue generation through sponsorships or partnerships.
    • Demonstrated leadership in building high-performance teams and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Experience with menu development, SOP implementation, training programs, and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to travel regularly to MetroLagoons locations and work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Weekends may be regularly required during peak season or as business needs dictate.

    Workplace Environment: This is an in-office position at the MetroLagoons corporate office based in Tampa, FL. This role will include regular travel to our lagoon properties (Wesley Chapel, San Antonio, Wimauma and Fort Myers).
