The Vice President of Operations brings more than operational expertise—they bring vision, mentorship, and the ability to amplify team performance through strategic support and leadership. Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Culture Development
Mentor and coach General Managers and regional teams to foster confidence, critical thinking, and accountability.
Operationalize the company’s core values through daily leadership practices, communication, and team development.
Drive a culture of empowerment and problem ownership—reinforcing that great leaders demonstrate initiative and leadership without waiting for direction.
2. KPI Ownership & Performance Oversight
Drive key operating metrics across the portfolio, including:
GOP margin and flow-through performance
Guest satisfaction (GSS/NPS)
Departmental labor productivity and staffing metrics
Preventive maintenance compliance
Employee engagement and turnover
Partner with Business Intelligence to create and scale dashboards and reporting that drive visibility and action at the hotel level.
Hold regular performance reviews with hotel leadership, analyzing trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
3. Operational Systems & Scalability
Lead the development of documented SOPs, training resources, and implementation guides that create repeatable success without stifling innovation.
Ensure best practices are documented and accessible across the portfolio.
Spearhead initiatives that streamline operational workflows and remove inefficiencies, supporting smooth property transitions.
4. Strategic Collaboration & Cross-Department Integration
Align with key departments (Sales, Revenue, HR, Finance, Asset Management) to create integrated strategies that drive full-property success.
Act as the primary liaison between properties and corporate support teams, ensuring strong communication, resource access, and shared wins.
5. Change Leadership & Resilience Planning
Lead change management initiatives with stability, ensuring leadership gaps are filled and transitions are well-supported.
Build a strong internal talent pipeline, with clear succession plans in place, focused on internal promotion and long-term talent retention

Education and Experience Requirements
Qualifications:
-10+ years of hotel operations leadership, including multi-property oversight
-Deep experience with major brands (Hilton, Marriott preferred)
-Proven track record in developing high-performing teams and scalable systems
-Strong financial and analytical acumen with fluency in operational KPIs and P&L drivers
-Proven track record of overseeing food & beverage operations, driving service excellence and profitability across diverse hospitality settings.
-Systems knowledge of Hotel Effectiveness, Sage, and Transcendent preferred
