    Job Description

    The Vice President, Strategic Account Management at Patient Funding Alternatives (PFA) serves as the primary executive relationship owner for assigned hospital partners. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and expanding senior-level client relationships, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, minimizing controllable attrition, and clearly communicating PFA’s value through data-driven executive reporting. The VP, Strategic Account Management reports to the Chief Growth Officer and works closely with Senior Leadership, Strategic Engagement, Strategic Solutions, and Operations to ensure successful partnerships from initial engagement through full production.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary relationship contact for hospital Client Executives and C-suite leaders
    • Participate in initial client introductions and maintain executive relationships throughout the lifecycle of the partnership
    • Deliver quarterly executive summary dashboards that clearly communicate PFA’s performance, outcomes, and value proposition
    • Maintain CRM data and develop client introduction materials
    • Assess net revenue potential and market share opportunities across assigned accounts
    • Adhere to PFA’s mission, vision, values, and overall business objectives

    Objectives for This Role

    • 25% – Engage with each designated client’s senior leadership on a quarterly basis
    • 25% – Achieve 0% controllable client attrition
    • 25% – Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 4 or higher (on a 1–5 scale)
    • 25% – Overall performance as assessed through management review

    Internal Responsibilities and Relationships

    • Develop client-ready quarterly executive summary dashboards that effectively communicate performance and impact
    • Sustain and deepen hospital executive relationships established during initial engagement
    • Support and strengthen relationships between provider hospitals and PFA’s Strategic Engagement and Operations teams• Share successful case outcomes with hospital leadership as they occur
    • Partner closely with the VP of Strategic Solutions and Strategic Engagement to ensure a seamless transition from contract signature through patient outreach and full production
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for hospital executives and manage issues to resolution
    • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborating cross-functionally to identify and implement effective solutions
    • Drive results by focusing on strategic priorities, establishing accountability, and fostering sound decision-making
    • Enhance PFA’s culture by living company values, assuming good intent, and fostering collaboration and teamwork
    • Act as a team player who cultivates strong working relationships and open communication across the organization
    • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

    External Responsibilities and Relationships

    • Provide ongoing support to existing hospital partners and prospective clients
    • Leverage experience within hospital or healthcare environments, including familiarity with Medicaid and/or HIPP
    • Identify opportunities that PFA can leverage to expand value within existing partnerships
    • Develop and strengthen professional networks with hospital executives across the healthcare market
    • Identify opportunities to expand relationships into additional hospital locations or systems
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Experience & Background

    • 8+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, hospital partnerships, strategic accounts, or related client-facing leadership roles
    • Demonstrated experience engaging with hospital executives, C-suite leaders, and senior clinical and operational stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of hospital operations and healthcare reimbursement environments; experience with Medicaid and/or HIPP strongly preferred
    • Proven track record of owning, growing, and retaining strategic client relationships with an emphasis on long-term value creation
    • Experience supporting or driving market expansion, revenue growth, and/or multi-site hospital partnerships

    Strategic & Analytical Capabilities

    • Ability to translate performance data into clear, executive-level insights and value narratives
    • Experience developing and delivering quarterly executive summaries, dashboards, or business reviews for senior stakeholders• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess net revenue potential, market share opportunities, and growth strategies
    • Comfortable identifying risks, surfacing opportunities, and recommending data-driven solutions

    • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential business and organizational matters

    Operational & Technical Skills

    • Experience maintaining and leveraging CRM systems to track relationships, performance metrics, and growth opportunities
    • Comfort communicating via phone, video, email, and in-person engagements
    • Ability to operate independently in a remote environment while remaining highly engaged, responsive, and accountable

    Additional Requirements

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed

    • Base salary range: $150,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and scope
