Job Description
This executive-level role leads all aspects of surgical services operations at two acute care hospitals, including pre/post-operative care, sterile processing, scheduling, and service line growth. The Vice President will manage two teams across locations with 92 and ~40 staff members respectively, guiding performance, process improvement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of 22 ORs across two hospitals
Lead strategic planning and service expansion initiatives
Develop budgets, allocate resources, and analyze cost structures
Implement new surgical technologies and services
Ensure high-quality care, safety, and patient satisfaction
Cultivate partnerships with medical staff and stakeholders
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree required
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience in surgical services
Proven track record managing surgical operations in large, acute care facilities
Licensure/Certification:
Active RN or CST license required
CNOR or CSSM certification preferred
Skills:
Strategic planning and execution
Strong leadership and communication across interdisciplinary teams
Expertise in surgical workflow, cost efficiency, and process optimization
