Responsibilities: • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels • Provide technical analysis and prepare explanatory memoranda for various estate, gift, and generation-skipping planning issues • Review legal documentation for accuracy and conformity to planning objectives • Analyze existing and proposed estate and gift tax planning to determine risks and benefits and recommend alternatives • Assist in the drafting of legal documents necessary for the execution of planning transactions Qualifications: • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Able to work independently while handling multiple files • Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry Compensation: $100,000 - $190,000
