Installs, inspects, repairs and test machinery and equipment to diagnose equipment malfunctions, dismantles and reassembles defective machines and equipment, installs new or repaired parts, cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts. Installs, and/or repairs wiring and electrical and electronic components. Assembles, installs and/or repairs pipe systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Install machinery and equipment. Assembles, installs, and/or repairs plumbing. Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Must have basic tools.

The work environment is a textile mill operating 24/7. The shifts are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. with weekend shifts 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The position will work in a 900,000 sq. ft.facility. Employee will be required to stand and/or move around for 8-12 hour periods based on the shift schedule. Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds. The employee will be required to bend, lift, walk, turn with repetition. The work environment will be warm, dusty, with equipment which generates heat. The ability to wear PPE correctly when necessary inside of the manufacturing area.
