This role is ideal for a creative technician who thrives behind the scenes, crafting polished, engaging, and technically accurate video content for our YouTube channel, web properties, partner campaigns, and social media channels. While the primary focus is on editing and graphics (90%), you’ll also support occasional new video shoots (10%), collaborating with the marketing team and subject matter experts to bring scripts and product demonstrations to life. Responsibilities: • Editing & Post-Production: Take raw video, screen captures, and audio assets and transform them into polished, compelling content through expert editing, color grading, audio mixing, and pacing. • Motion Graphics: Design and animate graphics, infographics, lower thirds, transitions, and product UI overlays to illustrate features, data flows, and workflows in a visually engaging way. • Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve BatchData’s video brand standards, ensuring every piece reflects our modern, developer-first identity and communicates clearly to both technical and business audiences. • Content Enhancement: Suggest and implement visual elements or enhancements (such as on-screen callouts, animations, or diagrams) to clarify complex real estate data topics, integrations, and workflows. • Social Channel Optimization: Edit and format video content for distribution across social media platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, etc.), including vertical and square formats, engaging hooks, subtitles, and platform-specific requirements. • Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Product Marketing, scriptwriters, and subject matter experts to understand video goals, storyboards, and messaging. • Shooting Support: Occasionally participate in or direct new video shoots (on-location or remote), including setting up lighting, audio, and capturing footage when needed (approx. 10% of role). • File & Asset Management: Organize and manage all video assets, source files, templates, and project archives for easy access and re-use. • Process Improvement: Research and propose new tools, plugins, or workflows that can improve video production efficiency, quality, or creativity. • Deadline Management: Meet production timelines and communicate proactively if projects require additional time or resources. Qualifications: • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in video editing, post-production, or motion graphics, ideally for B2B, SaaS, or tech brands. • Demonstrated expertise in editing and optimizing video content for multiple social media channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, etc.), including knowledge of best practices for platform-specific formats, attention-grabbing hooks, subtitles, and engagement tactics. • Mastery of professional video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) and motion graphics/animation platforms (After Effects, Motion, etc.). • Strong portfolio of edited videos, motion graphics, and branded content for both long-form and short-form distribution (please provide links). • Ability to distill technical scripts and product demonstrations into clear, visually compelling video narratives. • Experience with color correction, sound design, captioning, and optimizing videos for YouTube, web, and social. • Excellent sense of pacing, story, and design—able to bring energy and clarity to topics like data APIs, product integrations, and customer use cases. • Basic ability to shoot video with professional cameras, webcams, or screen recording software; comfortable setting up basic lighting and audio equipment when needed. • Highly organized with strong file management and version control habits. • Able to handle feedback and iterate quickly; thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and quality standards; proactive in problem-solving and creative improvement.
