About Honest Abe Roofing Honest Abe Roofing is one of the fastest-growing roofing companies in the country, with franchise locations across multiple markets and a high-performance in-house marketing team based in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Our marketing department operates more like an internal agency than a traditional home-services team. We manage paid media, creative production, websites, automation, and brand development across a growing multi-location franchise network.
We are looking for a Video Producer & Editor to help us create better, faster, more effective video content across paid advertising, brand storytelling, recruiting, social media, and franchise marketing.
Position Summary The Video Producer & Editor will be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports lead generation, brand growth, and internal marketing needs across the Honest Abe network.
This is not just a video editing role. We are looking for someone who can think creatively, move quickly, stay organized, and help raise the overall quality and consistency of our video output. The ideal candidate understands how to create content that feels polished, modern, and built for marketing performance across digital channels.
This role will work closely with leadership, design, paid media, content, and local franchise teams to produce video assets that build trust, generate attention, and support conversion.
What You’ll Do
Video Production & Editing
Shoot and edit video content for marketing campaigns, social media, brand storytelling, recruiting, internal communications, and franchise support
Create both short-form and long-form video assets for paid ads, organic social, websites, email campaigns, and sales support
Edit footage into polished, on-brand content with strong pacing, clean graphics, clear messaging, and platform-appropriate formatting
Manage raw footage, file organization, version control, and asset delivery
Paid Media & Performance Creative
Produce video ads and motion-based creative for Meta, YouTube, and other digital channels
Work closely with the paid media team to test hooks, offers, messaging, and creative angles
Create multiple cuts, formats, and variations to support campaign testing and optimization
Brand Storytelling
Capture and edit testimonial videos, project highlight videos, behind-the-scenes content, team culture content, and market-specific stories
Help develop video concepts that make the brand feel more trustworthy, modern, and premium
Support executive messaging and higher-level brand storytelling when needed
Field & Franchise Content
Travel as needed to capture jobsite content, customer stories, office footage, team culture, events, and local market assets
Coordinate with franchise teams to plan useful content shoots that can support both local and brand-wide marketing
Help standardize content capture workflows so footage is more usable and repeatable
Collaboration & Creative Execution
Work closely with the Senior Brand Designer, content/social team, and leadership to ensure strong creative consistency
Add motion graphics, light animation, captions, text overlays, music, and transitions as needed
Help shape content ideas, shot lists, and production plans before filming
Workflow & Production Management
Keep projects moving on time and communicate clearly about timelines, footage needs, and deliverables
Maintain organized project files, editing templates, exports, and archive systems
Help improve video production systems, templates, and turnaround speed
What You Bring
3+ years of professional video production and editing experience
Strong portfolio showing both video shooting and editing work
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
Strong understanding of framing, lighting, audio, pacing, and storytelling
Experience creating content for social media, digital marketing, and paid advertising
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to take direction while also bringing creative ideas and initiative
Preferred Qualifications
Experience producing performance-driven video ads
Experience with motion graphics, animated text, and branded video systems
Experience creating content for home services, construction, automotive, or other fast-paced field-based businesses
Experience with YouTube, Meta, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and short-form video formats
Drone experience or FAA Part 107 certification
Familiarity with Sony camera systems or similar production equipment
Experience coordinating shoots with internal teams and non-professional on-camera talent

Work Location
This is an in-house role based in Terre Haute, Indiana. Some travel may be required for franchise visits, jobsites, events, and content capture.
Compensation Compensation is depending on experience, portfolio strength, shooting ability, and editing skill.
