Job Description

This is a paid, entry-level seasonal production role designed for someone who wants real, hands-on experience in a fast-paced creative environment.

This role is best suited for recent graduates or early-career creatives looking to build real production experience.

• Timeline: June 1, 2026 – End of October 2026 (~5 months)
• Location: In-person only (Virginia Beach)
• Hours: Minimum 20 hours/week, with frequent opportunities to work up to ~40 hours/week depending on production needs

This role is built for someone who wants to be fully immersed in production. Our schedule shifts based on shoots, weather, and client needs—flexibility and availability are essential.

_ What This Role Is:_

• This is a production-first position focused on real-world experience—not a classroom-style internship.
• You will be part of our team on shoots and projects, contributing in meaningful ways while continuing to build your skills.

_ What You’ll Do_

• You will wear many hats and be expected to step in wherever needed.

_ Creative + Capture_

• Capture photo and video content on shoots
• Develop and apply a strong visual eye
• Assist with still photography (growth toward independent shooting expected)

_ On Set_

• Serve as a Production Assistant (PA) in various roles
• Assist camera team (camera assist / 2nd shooter opportunities)
• Help with lighting, grip, and technical setup
• Support audio when needed
• Assist with client and crew coordination
• Step into any role needed (props, logistics, on-camera, etc.)

_ Post + Support_

• Assist with photo organization, editing, and management
• Support footage handling, transfers, and basic post workflows
• Light editing or creative support when appropriate (not the primary focus)

_ What We’re Looking For_

We are looking for someone with a strong creative foundation—not a beginner.

You should already have experience through:

• School (recent graduate or current/recent student), OR
• Freelance / personal work with a clear portfolio

We are not teaching from scratch. You should be able to step in, contribute, and grow quickly.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating photography, video, or visual storytelling
• Prior hands-on experience with cameras or production environments
• Strong visual instincts and creative awareness

_ **Schedule & Expectations **_

This role requires a high level of flexibility.

• Minimum 20 hours/week guaranteed
• Many weeks may reach ~40 hours depending on production needs
• Schedule may include:
  • Early mornings (sunrise shoots)
  • Evenings (sunset shoots)
  • Occasional weekends (not every weekend)

Most work happens during weekdays, but schedules shift frequently.

_ This role should be your top priority during the season._
If you have another job, it must be flexible and work around a changing schedule.

Rigid schedules (fixed classes, inflexible work blocks, etc.) are not a fit for this role.
