Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
In 2011, NWS inaugurated its Frank Gehry-designed campus—a laboratory for the way classical music is taught, presented and experienced—in the heart of Miami Beach's Art Deco district. A highlight of the New World Center is its unprecedented integration of technology into educational, rehearsal and performance spaces. An iconic concert auditorium features a nearly 360-degree projected video and lighting capability; a large additional complement of theatrical lighting; 12-20 robotic cameras along with a 4KUHD broadcast control room; and top-of-the-line audio recording and sound reinforcement equipment. The campus also includes seven video, lighting and audio design and post-production studios. The successful applicant for this position will join a team in producing media-rich performances for live audiences, for webcast, and for live simulcast (WALLCAST™) onto the building's exterior projection façade (the largest permanent projection surface in North America). In addition, the successful applicant will participate in the production and post production of NWS Media’s numerous digital initiatives, including creating educational, performance, and storytelling videos for distribution on its own burgeoning YouTube channel as well as other platforms for New Media distribution.
