TRIBAL GOV’T GROUNDSKEEPER
SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of grounds related functions from litter pick-up and digging, to tree trimming, fertilizing, watering, installation and repair of irrigation systems. Performs skilled and semi-skilled manual labor and operates a variety of power tools and equipment. Inspects grounds, facilities, equipment and recommends repairs. Work involves both heavy and light physical labor in a wide range of grounds keeping activities. Routine work is subject to general supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work alone as needed; handle chemicals and cleaners; lift fifty (50) pounds; carry thirty (30) pounds; communicate effectively and courteously with the public; work well with co-workers in a team environment; follow written and oral directions. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
