    POSITION PURPOSE:  

    Reporting to the VP of HR, the primary objective of this position will be implementing HR operational excellence. This position is aligned with the business to ensure seamless design, delivery and execution of a full range of HR initiatives.  This position is a critical player in the global HR Team where we collaborate and work together on a range of companywide projects and initiatives. This role will require a self-motivated, flexible individual with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced business environment. where people will learn and grow in a team environment where peoples experience, bright ideas and passion to win is both encouraged and rewarded.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Recruiting:
      • Work with position managers to recruit the best talent to fill our open positions.  This includes, but is not limited to, posting positions, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, interviewing and recommending qualified employee candidates who can best contribute to the success and growth of the company
      • Create and maintain relationships with career services staff of various universities
      • Coordinate and execute career fairs with various universities
      • Coordinate and communicate with external recruiters
    • Onboarding
      • Create and provide candidates with offer letters and protective covenants agreements
      • Manage onboarding of new hires including reviewing all required documents such as I9, application for employment, direct deposit info, selection of benefits
      • Process reference and background checks

    ·         Benefits

    o    Support the VP of HR for all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, supplemental medical, 401(k) plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), extended absences, and unemployment compensation

      • Respond to employee’s general benefits questions, coordinate change requests, coordinate yearly open enrollment and record keeping with various carriers

     

    ·         Data Management

      • Complete verification of employment requests
        • Organize and update employee files
        • Maintain accurate HR data for statistical reporting and run reports when needed
    • Compensation Management
      • Assist VP of HR with wage, salary, and bonus administration with emphasis on assigning job levels
    • Performance Management

    o    Assist VP of HR with coordinating annual performance management process

    o    Coach managers through performance improvement process (PIP) situations

    • Policy Management
      • Advise management to ensure company compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment and training
      • Remain current with changes in human resource and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
    • Separations
      • Review employee terminations with management
      • Oversee employee terminations including exit interviews and final paperwork and return of computer equipment
    • Employee Relations
      • Work with VP of HR and Legal on any potential legal matters and revisions to employee paperwork
      • Act as lead point of contact for employee concerns regarding Covid-19 including processes, safety concerns, PPE supplies, tracking of daily Covid-19 employee questionnaire
      • Support employee initiatives including bereavement, births, extended illnesses, etc.
    • Training
      • Working with the position manager, coordinate job training to ensure development of all employees as needed to meet the business demand
      • Provide learning opportunities for employees to obtain annual training
      • Assign refresher training to employees if needed
      • Keep accurate records of training employees have completed classes

    ·         Company Events

      • Assist with planning and execution of company training, lunches, events

     

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    ·         At least 3 years of Human Resources experience required, preferably in a multinational, matrixed organisation

    ·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    ·         Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential

    ·         Strict adherence to confidentiality

    ·         Dynamic, organized self-starter that works well within a team environment

    ·         Ability to multi-task several projects

    ·         Advanced user of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Word

    ·         Advanced user of social media

    ·         Good interpersonal skills: ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of people
