Our Client, an Engineering Firm, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Transportation. The Senior Engineer will have 15+ years of experience in all modes of transportation including: Roadway, highway, railroad, and rail. They will manage staff and resources for all sizes of engineering projects while managing several projects at once with multiple offices and project teams. The firm is looking to gain contracts with the City of Houston, City of Sugarland and Public Works Department. This individual is responsible for marketing/selling/bidding on and winning work as well as putting teams together to deliver/execute the won contracts/work.
Typical Projects Managed include:
Design and production of roadway and highway projects including:
- Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT)
- Harris County Infrastructure Department
- Harris County Toll Road (HCTRA)
- City of Houston
- City of Sugar Land
- Montgomery County
- Gulf Coast Rail District
Proficient with the following software:
- Microstation and Geopak
- AutoCAD
- Skilled in scheduling using Primavera and Microsoft Project
TXDOT Precertification includes:
Feasibility Studies including:
- Route Studies & Schematic Design for Minor Roadways, Major Roadways, and Complex Highways;
- Minor and Major Bridge Layouts;
- Minor, Major and Complex Highway Design;
- Signing, Pavement Marking and Channelization;
- Roadway Construction Management and Inspection.
Additional Requirements:
- PE License in the State of Texas required.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
- Should have contacts in place throughout the industry.
- Proven experience working with Public Sector and Municipal Projects with the City of Houston, Pasadena, Sugarland, Harris, Fort Bend and/or Montgomery County.
- Worked with City, County and State agencies.
- Some experience with LOMAR & CLOMAR (not required).
- Project Management experience- Has won projects with some of the communities listed above as the Project Manager/Senior PM and can provide client references from these communities.
