    Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator for their Houston office. The Coordinator will work in an extremely fast-paced environment, create and organize presentation materials and proposal graphics in support of the sales and marketing department, as well as submit graphic work for other departments and projects.

    *This position is a 3-6 month contract role. This position may be extended into a direct-hire, permanent opportunity after contract is completed.

    The Coordinator is also responsible for the creation and submittal of advertising and brochure copy material for professional printing, utilizing knowledge of design, pre-press, press, and finishing requirements. NT operating system experience, network basics including printing, and software.

    Infrastructure experience PREFERRED; Oil & Gas experience is acceptable.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • May provide guidance for sales support personnel on an as-needed basis for content and design.
    • Provide guidance to any support staff to accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Budget and scheduling for communications/design pieces.
    • Maintain relationships with vendors for all the printing, supply, design, and equipment needs of the marketing department.
    • Provide technical instruction and maintenance of equipment.

    EDUCATION

    Requires a four-year degree or equivalent, preferably in Graphic Communications, Graphic Design, or Multi-Media. Knowledge of the A/E industry is a plus. 

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Individual should have at least five (5) years of high-end project/proposal experience in a fast-paced, on-demand marketing environment.
    • Experience with printed process and all accompanying aspects of the process.
    • Experience working within the engineering industry and knowledge of the proposal process is preferred.
    • Should be graphically inventive and a team player with strong sales instinct.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Excel, Word, Outlook, and knowledge of NT operating system and software. Experience with Premier, After Effects, CorelDraw, GIS, AutoCAD and MicroStation is a huge plus.
    • Must be skilled in use of animation sequences, video, and audio for electronic presentations.
    • Must have knowledge of pre-press procedures including scanning, file types, and separations, as well as knowledge of offset lithography, and screen-printing. In addition, some knowledge of pre-flighting, traps, pagination, bleeds, press page layout, and estimating, as well as finishing procedures such as trimming, folding, and binding. 

    TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create graphics for proposals and presentations, including covers, logos, organization charts, charts and graphs, photos, scanning, photo editing, etc.
    • Build and edit presentation materials.
    • Set-up planning sessions and rehearsal meetings for presentations.
    • Maintain presentation equipment, including laptop, projector.
    • Provide instruction on equipment; provide technical support for other departments/ projects
    • Maintain department computers.
    • Create and professionally publish brochures and advertising, providing all pre-press specifications.
    • Create bulletins, newsletters, invitations, certificates, banners, wall hangings, notices, etc.
    • Provide graphic services for other departments and projects, including report covers, organization charts, logos, scanning, photos, charts and graphs, brochures, advertising copy, invitations, etc.
    • Research and development.
    • Maintain and manage supplies for presentations and proposals, including paper supply, toner, transparencies, badges, etc.
