Viktor Benes in Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks are currently seeking Sales Associates, Assistant Pastry Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Cake Decorators and Dishwashers! Located exclusively inside of Gelson's Market, we are a french style bakery with an amazing reputation and looking for the right/dependable candidates to fill all positions now!

Sales Associate Position: 

• Welcome customers as they arrive at the bakery and respond to their needs regarding baked products
• Provide customers with information on freshly baked products and their ingredients
• Assist customers in choosing cakes, pastries, cookies, bread, and pies according to their specific tastes
• Ring up sales on the POS system and process credit card and cash payments
• Pack cooled baked goods in appropriate packing and label them with the price and expiry information
• Make specialty coffee/drinks in our coffee bar
• Ensuring their section adheres to safety and health regulations.

Assistant Pastry Chef/ Pastry Chef Positions:

• Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and working with other pastry chefs to ensure a successful working environment.
• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
• Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
• Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.
• Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
• Supervising and training staff members, when needed.
• Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

Cake Decorator Position:

• Designing and decorating cakes in different styles
• Maintaining cleanliness of the workstation at all times
• Fulfilling customer requests and special orders (example: wedding cakes) on time
• Suggesting suitable cake designs and decoration options
• Assisting the Pastry Chefs with pastry decorations and production for showcase
• Abiding by the health and safety standards
• Using decorating and modeling techniques and tools for creating intricate designs
• Monitoring and stocking of decorating supplies 
• Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

Dishwasher Position:

• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, tools, and putting them back to their designated areas.
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloading and storing deliveries.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
• Following food safety codes and procedures.
