We are a non-profit organization providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities for over 50 years! We have the following part time position available immediately for our office located in Thousand Oaks.

INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS INSTRUCTOR: Assist developmentally disabled adults in living skills; generate and submit required reports and documentation. Driving is required.

Schedule: flexible hours

Requires driving personal vehicle - mileage reimbursements are once per month.

COMMUNITY SKILL INSTRUCTOR: Responsible for picking up and driving 3-4 adults with developmental disabilities on a daily basis. As a Community Skills Instructor, you will assist program participants in developing vocational skills through volunteer work at nonprofit agencies within the community. Skills Instructors provide participants with guidance regarding community integration, social recreation/leisure skills, shopping in natural environments, money management, personal health and hygiene, use of community resources, community safety, fun community activities and how to utilize public transportation.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm

Requires driving personal vehicle - mileage reimbursements are twice per month.

Must possess a valid CA driver's license and a driver record that is acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier. Experience working with developmentally disabled population preferred.

Final candidate must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical, and TB screening. Final candidate will also be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $250.00, with $50.00 payable upon completion of first day of work and $200.00 payable upon completion of 90 days of employment.
