Part-Time Banquet Services Coordinator
The Village of Glendale Heights is seeking two Part-Time Banquet Services Coordinators for the Glendale Lakes Golf Club. This position performs a variety of complex administrative, supervisory and professional duties in the Food & Beverage Division of the Glendale Lakes Golf Club. The Banquet Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating banquet events and assisting the Food and Beverage Operations Manager with managing all aspects of the Glendale Lakes Golf Club food and beverage operations. This position also assists the Food and Beverage Operations Manager with promoting, scheduling and coordinating all aspects of the banquet services, including advertisement, correspondence, reservations and booking, follow-up, and assist with overseeing banquet events. Applicant must have graduated from high school with a diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in food handling and banquet service, a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in the banquets, food and beverage operations, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must have comprehensive knowledge of restaurant and banquet facility operations and the ability to establish and maintain effective public relations. Intermediate skill level in the Village's current applications of Windows and Excel, and basic skill level in the Village's current application of Word are required. Hourly Rate Range: $14.12 - $19.80, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-union, non-exempt position. Applicants must be available to work varied shifts including, days, nights, weekends and holidays. An average of 25-28 hours per week will be offered depending on the need of the facility.
