POSITION SUMMARY:The National Aquatics Director (NAQD) brings to life a high-performance culture that develops, empowers and recognizes great employees and delivers five-star service and immaculately clean and safe facilities in the Aquatics departments at all clubs. This position ensures company standards and best practices are implemented and adopted, and oversees the overall operational and financial management of the Aquatics departments. This position assists OGMs with hiring, onboarding and operational guidance. The NAQD develops and implements best-in-class programming for Aquatics. This person is provided with general supervision by the VP of Operations and will need to be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to successfully handle multiple concurrent projects and assignments with minimal direct supervision.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Annual rate of pay, based on relevent experience to the role. Full-time hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Operations in high-end, resort-style, family-oriented aquatics facilities (club, hospitality or similar industries) preferred

Knowledge of present successful industry aquatics program trends and programs

American Red Cross Lifeguard certification required

American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification required

Must be certified as Starfish Instructor, Water Safety Instructor or equivalent

Certified Pool Operator preferred

American Red Cross Aquatic Attraction Lifeguard Certification preferred

Relationship development

Training/presentation skills

Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

Familiarity with POS, CRM and Program Management Software Systems required

Budgeting and analysis skills

Minimum three years in an Aquatics operational leadership capacity for a high-end athletic club, water park or hospitality company

Previous authoring of Standard Operating Procedures and training materials preferred

Process flow development

Specific experience in aquatics operations and programming

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent editing and proofreading skills

Able to work with minimal supervision

Able to handle multiple concurrent projects and assignments

Excellent customer service and people skills

Friendly, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational

Strong leadership skills

College Degree in business or related field

Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of weights of 25 lbs

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing and balancing when at club properties

Work on club properties may be performed near moving, mechanical parts.

The noise level is usually moderate to high at club properties
