As a member of the VillaSport leadership team, the Food and Beverage Director helps bring to life a high-performance culture that develops, empowers and recognizes great employees and delivers five-star service, exceptional food quality and selection, and immaculately clean, safe café facilities to members and guests. In decisions and actions, the F&B Director is guided by VillaSport’s WE SERVE principles.
The F&B Director manages all F&B operations and outlets (indoor café, outdoor grill/cabana, and outdoor adult bar) and provides catering services for member and guest events. The F&B Director owns responsibility for achieving revenue and net profit budget goals; managing inventory and controlling waste/costs; hiring, training and retaining a high-quality team of F&B associates; ensuring all VillaSport standards are followed for food preparation and presentation; ensuring operations are in compliance with all applicable health codes and laws; and providing a great dining experience for VillaSport members and guests.
Under the F&B Director’s leadership, VillaSport’s F&B operations enhance the overall member experience and contribute to new membership sales and retention. Though supervised by the Office of the General Manager, the F&B Director is expected to be self-motivated, self-reliant, organized and able to handle concurrent projects and assignments.
Knowledge of food and beverage/restaurant front and back of the house operations.
ServSafe Food Protection, Food Handlers, and TABC Certifications are required.
Must be 21 years of age.
Solid basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register/POS system.
Familiar with basic kitchen/cooking equipment.
At least two years of food and beverage/restaurant experience and/or assistant management positions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Bi-Lingual a plus.
College degree preferred.
First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire date
