POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food and Beverage Supervisor assists the Food & Beverage Director in managing all F&B operations and outlets (indoor café, outdoor grill/cabana, and outdoor adult bar) and providing catering services for member and guest events in the club. The F&B Supervisor shares responsibility for achieving revenue and net profit budget goals; managing inventory and controlling waste/costs; hiring, training and retaining a high-quality team of F&B associates; ensuring all VillaSport standards are followed for food preparation and presentation; ensuring operations are in compliance with all applicable health codes and TABC laws; and providing a great dining experience for VillaSport members and guests.

Though supervised by the F&B Director, the F&B Supervisor is expected to be self-motivated, self-reliant, organized, and able to handle the full responsibilities of running the F&B operations in the Director’s absence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

One or more years supervisory experience.

Familiarity with using basic kitchen/cooking equipment.

Familiarity with food and beverage operations - front and back of house.

Experience with taking and managing Inventories.

Proficient in MS Excel and Word.

Experience with transactional (POS) systems.

Experience operating a cash register.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Highly organized and detail oriented.

Excellent training and coaching skills.

Bi-lingual a plus.

Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.

Able to problem solve; flexible with changing situations.

Honesty, integrity, and sound judgment.

Self-discipline and capacity for hard work.

Strong leadership skills.

Fanatical about cleanliness.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Solid basic math skills.

College degree is a plus.

ServSafe Food Protection, Food Handlers, and TABC (TX only). Certifications are required.

First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire date.
