Villatel’s flagship property, Villatel Orlando, is seeking a Human Resources Director to join the leadership team for the opening of a 526-home rental community, with water park and F&B amenities centrally located on Orlando’s famed International Drive, next to Universal’s newest theme park, Epic Universe. Responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Accountable for talent acquisition, succession/workforce planning, performance management and development for property associates, using technology efficiently, and coaching/developing others to help influence and execute business objectives in the most efficient manner • Managing the Human Resources Strategy; Translates business priorities into property Human Resources strategies, plans and actions; Implements and sustains Human Resources initiatives at the property • Leads the assessment of property(s) leadership pipeline through the human capital review process and assists with follow-up; Coordinates the human capital review process and leads succession planning activities, as appropriate • Serves as a key change manager for initiatives that have a high associate impact; Creates value through proactive approaches that will affect performance outcomes or control cost • Supervises one or more on-property Human Resources, as well as market-based Human Resources Specialist type resources where appropriate; Analyzes open positions to balance the development of existing talent and business needs; Serves as coach and expert facilitator of the selection and interviewing process • Attends executive committee meetings and provides meaning or context to the Human Resources results (e.g., retention statistics, critical open positions, associate satisfaction, and training initiatives and results); and demonstrates an understanding of company priorities • Creates and implements total compensation management packages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards property priorities; Champions the communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, policies, etc • Ensures managers are competent in assessing and evaluating hourly associates; Ensures completion of the duties and responsibilities of the properties’ staff members, as outlined in the applicable job description(s) • Participates in quarterly internal equity analysis; reviews internal equity reports and surface issues needing resolution • Creates and implements total compensation management packages/offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards property priorities; Champions the communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, policies, etc • Serves as a resource to property Human Resources staff on associate relations questions and issues; Ensures property Human Resources associates are properly trained in all associate-related human resource information to appropriately respond to property associates Qualifications: • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite • Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) used by your company, such as TriNet • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and associate relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Must be proficient in the English language, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred • Have a flexible schedule, able to work weekends as needed • May be required to travel to various company locations and/or vendor offices through Greater Orlando/Central Florida as needed • Have a valid driver’s license • Position is an on-site position Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 yearly
