    Villatel is seeking a full-time skilled and dedicated Pool Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our pool facilities, as well as assisting with various other maintenance tasks. This role requires a Certified Pool Operation (CPO) certification coupled with a strong professional background in pool maintenance procedures along with general home maintenance knowledge. This individual will split their time between pool-related duties and the maintenance tasks assigned to them. Responsibilities: Pool Maintenance: • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and vacuuming pools, balancing chemicals, and checking water levels. • Perform routine cleaning of pool surfaces, tiles, and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness and appearance for the guest. • Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders, to identify issues for repair; and monitor and maintain pool circulation and filtration systems. • Conduct safety inspections of the pool safety fence to ensure proper functionality; identify hazards, and report issues to management. • Ensure proper inventory of pool supplies and chemicals. • Handle and store pool chemicals in accordance with safety and health department regulations. General Maintenance: • Perform general maintenance tasks to include routine inspections, engineering repairs, and partnering with our Maintenance Technicians to create preventative measures to keep equipment running smoothly. • Provide day-to-day maintenance, security, and engineering inspections to our inventory of villas, handling all routine engineering and maintenance tasks and coordinating with vendors as needed. • Document all work via the work order/ticketing system, to record completed repairs and services. • Communicate all guest issues and feedback to management to ensure appropriate actions are taken. Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND AVAILABILITY: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in pool maintenance and possession of the Certified Pool Operation (CPO). • Valid driver’s license. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Solid problem-solving skills. • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. • Must be available to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • The Pool Maintenance Technician is expected to perform the functions of the position with or without accommodation. Villatel retains the right to change or assign other job duties to this position. • Ability to frequently carry heavy equipment and supplies of more than 30 lbs. • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Compensation: $20 - $22 hourly
