Summary

The Soda Fountain Grill Clerk is responsible for preparing all grill items to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares food served using established production procedures and systems

Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems

Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation

Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques

Stores food properly and safely

Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation

Checks food temperature before service, if applicable

Reports necessary inventory orders, equipment repairs and maintenance to supervisor

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience as a grill cook preferred

Ability to perform the essential duties as outlined above

Ability to work successfully in a team environment

Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is primarily indoors. Employee may be exposed to intermittent indoor cold temperatures when working in cooler or freezer. Employee may be exposed to high temperatures when grilling.
