    VIO SECURITY - LICENSING AND COMPLIANCE ADMINSTRATOR

    FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking a strong Licensing Clerk who will assist our Compliance department identifying processes and procedures to maintain compliant with law and industry regulations.

    General Statement of Job

    The Licensing and Compliance Administrator will provide support for internal management and staff with ensuring that all Alarm Employee licensing needs are met, maintaining all license-related compliance and ensuring all applicable licenses are up-to-date.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

    • Assist with applications for new professional licenses (from inception to completion) and other company certifications
    • Gather documentation for renewals of professional licenses, business licenses, and filings with the Secretary of State
    • Assist with employee licenses (i.e. application, procedures, etc.) including paperwork in States where Licensing & Compliance Manager signs off on license applications
    • Coordinating, completing and monitoring the professional insurance licensing and appointing process for the firm and its employees, in accordance with state regulations.
    • Research state regulations and maintain department’s database with up-to-date information; coordinate with managers for implementation
    • Conduct state/jurisdictional licensing & recordkeeping audits and report findings
    • Run licensing reports using company database
    • Monitor, track, and forward company issued employee licensure and requests for information
    • Identify and troubleshoot employee licensing issues
    • Obtaining, maintaining and terminating the appropriate insurance licenses and appointments while ensuring strict compliance with state insurance department regulations and maintaining effective communication with all affected parties.
    • Track regulatory licensing and appointment requirements for all licensed agents.
    • Research state requirements for opening establishments within new jurisdictions
    • Build and maintain reports for agents in the hiring process as well as currently licensed agents.
    • Communicate changes in status to the training and development team
    • Update agent licensing and carrier appointment information
    • Assist with contracting, appointment or licensing questions
    • Perform background checks on potential agents/agencies
    • Protect the privacy of all information received in the department
    • Assist or manage special projects upon request
    • Audit Reviews
    • All other duties as assigned by Compliance Manager
    • Handle confidential information with the highest ethical and professional standards.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • High-level of attention to detail and ability to interpret State, Federal, and Local legislation

    • 1-2 years experience in a legal, government, analyst, relevant corporate environment

    • Experience in records maintenance, database build-outs, and communication with government authorities

    • Must be computer literate and be able to work with various software platforms (Salesforce experience preferred)

    • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Licensing: 1-2 years (Preferred)
