We’re looking for a full-time, friendly orthodontic assistant for our office. Your primary job will be to assist our doctors in serving our patients to ensure they leave our practice with a smile. Additional chairside assisting responsibilities include preparing the work area and equipment for exams or procedures. Travel between office locations will be needed. Responsibilities: • Provide patients with oral hygiene advice to make sure they maintain pristine dental care a healthy smile • Help with administrative duties such as welcoming patients, taking phone calls, making appointments for dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing • Tell patients what oral hygiene steps they need to take in order to prevent infection after dental procedures • Ensure the patient area is ready for exams and procedures by prepping equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and cleaning and laying out dental instruments • Aid dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by handing them dental instruments and make sure patients’ mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist • Taking records such as X-rays, digital scans, and photographs • Removing and replacing wires and Invisalign care • Participate in providing patients with an excellent patient experience • Willingness to take on duties and responsibilities to assist in patient care • Sterilization Qualifications: • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills • Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required • Ability to provide superb patient care and customer service • Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks • Dental/Orthodontic assisting experience preferred Compensation: $18 - $27 hourly
