    The supervisor of the Clinical Remote Monitoring Services reports to the Manager of Clinical Remote Monitoring Services. Under general supervision, the Supervisor of Clinical Remote Monitoring Services provides supervision of the professional, operational, quality, training and onboarding needs and educational initiatives for direct patient monitoring services (Continuous Observation -- which provides in person patient safety observation), and continuous virtual monitoring (CVM – provides virtual patient safety observation and reduces health care worker exposure to infectious disease across the enterprise) programs. This position works in collaboration with clinical personnel at MUSC, and other statewide medical facilities that contract CVM services; ensuring all technicians provide a high level of customer service.

    Job Responsibility:

    Supervise clinically based services and programs to ensure that quality care and site support are provided. Provide oversite on all day to day operational activities and initiatives including ensuring clear communication between team members as well as the clinical teams they serve, appropriate staffing ratios are achieved and additional administrative tasks are completed

    Success Criteria:

    · Oversee daily communication processes interpersonally as they relate to the team as well as the clinical teams they serve

    · Create assignments for the Virtual Monitoring team based on a risk scoring algorithm to ensure appropriate distribution of work

    · Implement quality improvement measures in collaboration with the Manager of Clinical Remote Monitoring Services and nursing leadership

    · Ensure all Patient Safety Companions are in place and assigned based on appropriate clinical skill level by working in conjunction the Resource Management Center to drive appropriate assignments

    · Work in collaboration with the Telehealth Tech Team to communicate and resolve any technical concerns with equipment

    · Assist in promoting effective and efficient interdisciplinary meeting and committees.

    · Function as a liaison between individuals and groups.

    · Demonstrate effective communication skills in relating to staff, patients, families, visitors and other health care professionals.

    · Demonstrate knowledge of and compliant with institutional, federal, state Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies, standards rules, regulations and

    · Encourage and assist staff to deal appropriately with conflict.

    · Promote innovative strategies and solutions.

    · Delegate appropriately and effectively within confines of role.

    · Establish clear expectations for staff.

    · Respond to emails and phone messages in a timely manner

    · Assist with schedule management and planning of both the Patient Safety Companion team and the Virtual Monitoring team

    · Work in collaboration with the Clinical Remote Monitoring Services Manager to develop and deploy employee engagement initiatives

    Job Responsibility:

    Support ongoing educational efforts for both internal and external clinical teams. Oversee training and education plans for new employees. In conjunction with the Manager of Clinical Remote Monitoring Services, ensure team adheres to accountability measures as set forth by both the department and organization. Assist in maintaining databases aimed a delivering program centered results.

    Success Criteria:

    · Provide continuous educational support as needed for both internal and external clinical teams

    · Assist in communication efforts as changes to policy and operations occur

    · Coordinate and oversee the training and education of new employees to ensure new hires are set up for success in their role

    · Provide in the moment redirection when appropriate for any behavioral or patient care concerns

    · In conjunction with the Manager of Clinical Remote Monitoring Services, provide additional rounding for CTMs on a regular basis

    · Collaborate with leadership to develop and improve training and education efforts as program and needs evolve

    · Maintain daily patient census database for the Continuous Virtual Monitoring program

    · Collaborate with leadership and internal resources to improve the quality of data collection
