Job Description
Apply commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in financial management, perform advanced financial transactions, and provide guidance on various financial transactions using various financial business systems. Duties include performing financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts, providing advanced-level financial reporting and analysis of all funds within the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), continually monitoring the financial position of existing program funds, including budget and actual data monitoring, maintaining program funds, managing present and projected extramural execution plans, provide monthly reports, track all appropriations and withholds, track program funding, initiate purchase requests in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and monitor the flow of funding documents through the acquisition process to ensure contract award and fund obligation by fiscal year-end. Performs tasks with little to no instruction or oversight. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Strong oral and written communication skills in English. · Experience in working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Windows · 5 years of financial management experience, preferably within a government setting · Ability to pass a government background Investigation and pre-employment drug test · Excellent work ethic and dependable · US Citizen DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field · Experience with Grant management · Experience managing funding for a large health research portfolio COMPENSATION RANGE: Determined based on experience and qualifications.
