  • Responsibilities

    Due to tremendous belief in the future of our Virtual Sales Organization, we are looking to add a Virtual Industrial Sales Manager who will be accountable for the profitable achievement of revenue, gross profit, and development of a hunter mindset Virtual Sales team. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will have direct influence over Crescent Electric’s continued growth and success by ensuring our short and long-term revenue and profit expansion.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Establish a hunter team culture that is grounded in Crescent Electric’s Core Values: Innovation, Speed, Adaptability, Creativity, Flexibility.

    • Deliver and achieve the annual sales plan for the Virtual Sales Team including revenue, profit, and strategic objectives.

    • Establish operational benchmarks, timelines, resources, and budgets needed to achieve strategic goals including adherence to system pricing (PROs).

    • Effectively hire, develop, retain, and lead a competent, digitally enabled, hunter mindset, diverse sales team.

    • Works closely with Customer Experience, Operations and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction, and high levels of sales support.

    Sales Strategy and Performance

    • Implement or optimize sales processes, structures, and rigor that result in improved sales team performance, flexibility, and timely reporting.

    • Responsible for leading and managing a high performing hunting virtual sales team covering the markets we serve & will serve.

    • Leads accurate and timely forecasting efforts of virtual sales team.

    • Coordinates the involvement of all sales support personnel including AVPs, ASMs, AMs, REMs, AEs, National Sales team, Leadership, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain, Category/Product management, professional services, and operations to ensure customers’ expectations are met.

    • Works with SVP & AVPs to ensure strategic and business objectives are met by the virtual sales team.

    • Penetrate large accounts at the C-Level to maximize the value of new and existing relationships.

    • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key. customer accounts in conjunction with virtual sales personnel.

    • Provides a leadership-level point of contact for key customers. Builds and maintains strong customer relationships.

    • Accurate insight into the competitive landscape, including detailed assessments of key competitors, including why opportunities are won or lost.

    • Establishes productive relationship with marketing based on frequent communication, collaboration, and the effective allocation of marketing investment.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

    • Delivers the annual sales plan including revenue, profit, and strategic objectives.

    • Accountable for the thorough implementation of all customers related initiatives among virtual sales personnel.

    • Responsible for the efficient allocation of company support resources in the customer base.

    • Implements effective coaching and development of direct reports.

    MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage direct reporting personnel of ~8 people and redefine the team, as needed.

    • Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

    • Responsibilities may include hiring, interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and performance managing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    • Outline roles and responsibilities, drive effective and efficient onboarding, and provide coaching and mentoring on an ongoing basis.

    • Periodically evaluate the performance of each employee and offer goals and objectives on an annual basis.

    • Recommend merit wage increases within the established company wage structure and policy.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and motivational skills and a track record of hiring & retaining extraordinary talent.

    • Expert level use of sales analysis, sales process, CRM and KPIs to drive the business forward.

    • High degree of analytical skill, financial acumen, and strong business management skills

    • Understanding of digital tools and how to utilize them in the sales process.

    • Hybrid role with minimum in office once a week or as necessary.

    • Up to 25% with overnight stays.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; 10 years of successful sales experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • 3-5 years of sales leadership of teams across multiple locations, products, and services. Virtual account management experience preferred.
