Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls with a smile!
Ability to handle a large volume of calls for a busy OB/GYN practice.
Create a warm first impression!
Schedule new & current patient appointments, including, New OB Intake, OB appointments, Annual & problem GYN, LAB, Ultrasound, Hormone replacement appointments and more.
Direct patients to the appropriate person and office.
Ability to assist patients with directions, appointment confirmations and send messages to provider staff for assistance.
Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email.
Verify insurance, Receive payments.
Ability to work alone, with little supervision.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH ATHENA A PLUS.
Skills:
Exceptional Customer Service Skills accompanied by a desire to implement them is a MUST.
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Computer experience in a medical office & Athena is a plus.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Excellent organizational skills.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
High School Diploma/GED 1-2 year prior Experience
