For over 20 years, we at Virtual Snow LA have been teaching people of all ages and skill levels to ski & board on our indoor training simulators. We’re now looking to hire more genuine, fun-loving, dedicated trainers.

Whether you’re an experienced skier/boarder, or if you’re relatively new to the sport, each new team member goes through the same training process. SO DON’T BE DISSUADED FROM APPLYING IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’RE A GOOD FIT FOR THE JOB BUT LACK EXPERTISE AS A SKIER OR BOARDER. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll get you there.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Qualities of great Virtual Snow trainers:

• Enthusiastic, upbeat, & positive

• Responsible & reliable

• Love skiing and/or snowboarding

• Desire to be part of the snow sports industry

• Genuine & empathetic

• Excellent communicators

• Great with people & able to make meaningful personal connections

Preferred Experience:

• Skills in skiing and/or snowboarding

• Teaching experience, especially in a physical training and/or 1-on-1 context. (Any kind of teaching experience is valuable though!)

• Experience working face-to-face with customers/clients

• General understanding of sales

Logistical:

• Weekday availability (required)

• Reliable transportation (required)

• Physically capable of standing, bending, walking, carrying around skis & boards, completing all our skiing & boarding drills, etc. (required)

• Live close to our studio in Santa Monica (preferred)

HERE’S HOW WE TRAIN OUR TRAINERS:

• When you first start, you will:

  • Learn the ropes by WORKING WITH AND SHADOWING OUR TRAINERS

    • Get a feeling for the day-to-day tasks, like preparing gear and tech between sessions, getting clients into boots & safety gear, helping people get on and off the simulators, etc.

  • Run through ALL OUR TRAINING DRILLS FOR BOTH SKIING & SNOWBOARDING

  • Learn our SALES PROCESS

• You’ll become a full-fledged TRAINER when:

  • You’ve fully completed both the skiing & boarding training programs.

  • Both you and our shop manager feel like you’re ready to take the lead on training sessions.
