The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for supervising all food and beverage department associates and operations.
Job Requirements:
Complete all required brand specific training
Complete all required Vision University training
Complete all required health and safety training
Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards
Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
Hire, train, develop and discipline food and beverage staff.
Coordinates work assignments, department planning, and schedules for F&B Department.
Follows up and maintains food cost controls, methods and procedures.
Creates and develops menu prices, beverage lists, beverage prices, specials, and is responsible for advertising, condiments, linens, uniforms, and decor use within the property.
Standardized portions used, and is responsible for controlling of food, beverage, and labor where applicable
Maintains a system of cost controls through purchasing and sales.
Supervises preparation and set up of buffet lines and insures that it is maintained.
Directs dining and kitchen maintenance and sanitation program, insuring proper use of equipment.
Adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations.
Controlling and maintaining labor costs in scheduling.
Prepares cost and revenue reports. Develops and maintains quality control procedures.
Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets.
Must be CPR certified, MSDS trained, serving alcohol with care, and have completed brand specific training programs.
Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and service to the guests.
Necessary Skills:
Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays- serve as MOD when necessary.
Is organized, honest, works well with others, and has an outgoing personality
Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
Able to lead & work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
General knowledge of food, costs, controls, sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen.
Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
Must be able to handle heat and stress
Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
